TOBIAS, GERMANY - SERVICE DEPARTMENT

22 years

Student of International Business Administration at the Euro Business College Dresden, Germany

Internship of 3 months

After my second semester of studying “International Business Administration” I decided to do my first internship abroad. So I applied to Martin Mulligan Ltd to improve my English skills and to gain practical knowledge about International Business. I worked in the UK Service Department where I dealt with customers from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern-Ireland. It was my task to sell maintenance contracts and equipment for label printers. I adapted very fast to all the different English accents and soon, it was no problem to understand everything perfectly. After one week I was able to sell my first maintenance contract to a customer which was a great success. I learned many things about marketing and to deal with customers. In this context I had the chance to negotiate with other companies in order to get the best quality of service for a reasonable price. After one month I was a success in terms of ‘Sales’, and I had been accepted as a valuable member of the team and my manager had full faith in my abilities for the whole duration of the internship.

It was very exiting to be in charge of your own sales prospects and have the opportunity to close your own sales.

What I really liked about this company was the chance to get to know many other students from all over the world (for example France, Kenya, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, Croatia or Finland) with whom you can go on party in St. Helens and travel the region. I made some lovely friends here and I will never forget the time I have spent with them.

If you can work under pressure and you plan to do your career on the international arena then Auto ID Services Ltd. is the right company for your internship.
