Internship of 6 months
I study industrial engineering with the focus
on information and communication systems. I did an internship in the field
information technology at Auto ID Services Ltd..
Auto ID Services Ltd. isn’t a typical English company, because there are influences from different nationalities from all over the world. For example, I worked with people from France, Austria, Switzerland and Italy together. This kind of experience gave me insights into the different modes of operation from the different nations.
Within the company there are a wide field of activities for IT students,
from the development of websites to the repair of label printers. For
people who want to set something in motion, this is the right place. The
requirement is that you are motivated to work on your own initiative and
to solve problems.
The guiding idea behind the leadership of the managing director is: We need no problems, only solutions!
The information technology integration in the company is in its infancy.
There is still space to progress the integration – I couldn’t
do anything.
Beside the working experience is the English way of life. Through the
large student community of the company were a lot of activities. You aren’t
alone. To work and live in England was a good experience, which I am glad
I did not miss out on.
