Internship of 3 months
I was in Martin Mulligan only 3 months, this is a short period for an internship in International Finance, but the challenge was there.
The first month and half, I assisted the Financial Manager in matters like Debt and Credit control, VAT, Bank Reconciliation, and Preparation of Managements Accounts. During this period I achieved to win the confidence of my managers and especially the one from Martin Mulligan himself. It was a capital point for me because after that “my hands were free” and every accountant knows that is essential to improve any kind of system. When the Finance Manager left unexpectedly the company I assumed his role. I take benefit from this opportunity to develop my ideas and bring my knowledge to save money in a better way. My results brought me the respect and the support of the others managers and improving the situation became easier. My objectives were to improve the situation in a long term trend, and today I hope results keep on going. Today, I tried to be involved in some matters, and bring some solutions.
To conclude, I will just say that this experience was really great in terms of responsibilities and in terms of spirit. It’s easy to do an internship in a company where everything is fine and where we just have to maintain the situation and the system. But it’s so much valuable and challenging to fight every day and face the reality of a situation, even complicated it can be, with your knowledge and your competences. I recommend this internship to someone who wants to be proud of himself.
